Which basic plugins should you install?

Here's a list of plugins I recommend, to get down to basics. Though this is a blurry notion indeed… You'll find stuff to publish properly and to be refenrenced accordingly. Any suggestion is welcome…

Protection

askimet : to filter spam (requires a wordpress.com account)

broken link checker : to check for broken links

antivirus: to look for viruses injected in your theme

secure wordpress: to add further protection

si captcha: to filter spam robots

Referencing

all in one seo pack : to optimize referencing

google analyticator : for analytics

google xml sitemaps : for referencing

addthis: to spread links to your articles in networks

Navigation

category order : to classify categories in the widget

similarity: to suggest further reading

Publication

eg attachments : to display attachments

flv embed : to insert flv videos

lightbox2 : for lightboxes on images

tinymce advanced : to enhance the editor

wp footnotes : to insert bottom-of-page notes

audioplayer: to play mp3s

wordpress gallery slideshow: to insert picture slideshows quickly
